For its second release, AskDave is now better at answering complex questions and know how to truly think as I would. It has full context on my professional projects, GitHub account and LinkedIn profile. It can also safely answer anbiguous questions even if they are not directly related to my professional projects.

AskDave 1.1 keeps the same modern tech stack, with Next.js (TypeScript), Postgres,gpt4o-mini and Langchain at its core. Its knowledge base - stored in a Pinecone vector database - has been significantly expanded to include more information about me, and even includes essays from the past 12 years to provide more context on my thoughts and opinions, and how they have evolved over time. In version 1.1, the context base is 15 times larger than in version 1.0, and the chatbot still has the same 1/10 prompt review process to ensure it answers as expected.

AskDave 1.1 remains a classic assistant which processes text prompts and returns text responses - but it is far more capable than its initial release. It can now answer a wider range of questions, and has a better understanding of the context in which they are asked. It can also provide more detailed and accurate answers. In future releases, AskDave will be able to speak using my voice, answer deeper questions, be more analytical when answering complex queries and dynamically update its knowledge base in real-time.
